Here users can control the startup of processes that run under system, local services or network services. Scheduled Tasks – Windows Task Scheduler

There are certain software that adds their applications into Scheduled Tasks. These applications cannot be found either through msconfig or services.msc, but still they get activated at times. Users can access these applications by clicking Control Panel > Scheduled Tasks. In case if there are some useless applications, users can simply delete them.

There are few software which ads themselves to the startup list even if the user has disabled them. Generally, they will be available at tabs like Options, Settings, and Preferences. Users are required to go through them in detail.

Users can easily identify a particular process and its applicability by using the Web. They just need to type the name of the process, for example, “svchost.exe” into a search engine and see what other people have their opinion about it. Users can then remove a program accordingly. They may also provide instructions to remove it permanently. Further, users are required to repeat these steps periodically to avoid the problem of a slow computer.
