It is sad to sit back and watch while the current government screws the people of Ireland, again.
As we have seen from the numerous tribunals over the last 15 years this government seems to be occupied by people who really do not give a toss for the ones that elect them. Brian Cowan, well what can be said about him that has not already been said, financial treason – this I think describes best his role as head of finance then head of government.
However, it must be remembered that most people voted for this bunch of scoundrels. In 2007 most people had not yet caught on that the Celtic Tiger party was over, a close friend of mine could not believe that I would not buy a house in 2007 when the prices first started to wobble. He thought I was nuts for not grabbing something while I could – I thought he and his neighbours were crazy for pay €500,000 for ex corporation houses in areas that they really did not want to live in, and thought they were too good for. If it all wasn’t so sad I would be thinking I have had the last laugh – but the human cost this government is willing for you to sacrifice is appalling.
Yesterday the other Brian was out talking to the media about how everything has stabilised. I am not dumb, I know he has to lie. Its not like he can tell the truth, the truth would kill our economy – markets don’t want the truth, they want Brain L reassuring them that he is willing to have long term high unemployment – the only way out of this – I saw this same thing happen with Maggie T all those years ago – it is the price right wing Tories, like the two Brians, are happy with.
Unlike most people I don’t have a solution, I have some little ideas. The essence is help people and stop giving money away to those who can afford to pay a bit more in tax.
But at the end of the day if you have a mortgage that you cannot pay that is your own responsibility. Too many people are wanting bail-outs for their mortgage – really you bought it and treated it like an investment rather than somewhere for your family to live.
At the same time the government has increased fuel, all type. A carbon tax. I vote to kill a green or at least get them to eat meat – the bunch of fucking veggie cowards. These people are worse than FF – we all knew that FF had their hand in the till – but the greens give off that superior attitude – I want them to spontaneously combust and never be heard from again.
And this is their way of helping – national bloody organic week, fuck…

Please do not use the word vegetarian as a brush to tar disconnected and greedy politicians with. While I realise you may use it in jest, it’s hard enough being a vegetarian here in a country where less than 1% of the population is veg and people react to your lifestyle choice as if you told them that you only eat reindeer earwax. The truth is my decision about what I wish to eat has nothing to do with screwing the taxpayer. Since there are so few vegetarians here, I would suggest that actually those screwing the taxpayer are all meat-eaters. Which also has nothing to do with taxes and lack of accountability to the populace.
