Powerscourt House, Gardens, and Waterfall are all well worth a visit. Powerscourt is one of the most visited country Houses and Gardens in Ireland and it is easy to see why. The whole estate is looked after with love and care and presented to the visitor at the very highest standard and in doing that sets a standard that is hard for the many other Irish Country Houses to achieve. Russborough House and Maze is on the N81 about 30 minutes from Dublin, just past Blessington. The house is not open all year round and has intermittent opening hours that are impossible to remember without reference to their website. It is not easy to get to without a car and not well kept.
I found Russborough unwelcoming, depressing, and pricey.
