The Canal Bank Cafe is one of those places that is just great for Saturday or Sunday breakfast or lunch. You know the kind of place were service is great, the food is as good as you would expect for the location and the look of the building from the ourside.
Much as I try I cannot find anything wrong with the Canal Bank, location perfect, sit at one of the many windows with your weekend papers and watch the world go by. The service is prompt and friendly, yes amazingly in Dublin great friendly service, and they manage to be right on hand without being intrusive.
The food for me is often secondary to the service, friendlyness, and the location – in this case just inside Ballsbridge at Leeson Bridge – so less than ten minutes walk from Stephen’s Green. However the Canal Bank Cafe surpass expactation also on food and the range avilable. Full Irish breakfast and a full menu of other food for when breakfast is not wanted.
